London Restaurant Festival presents a collaborative chef-hosted dinner showcasing the culinary stylings of Portland, Oregon, at a revered London venue.
Critically acclaimed chefs Ruth Hansom of The Princess of Shoreditch and Katy Millard of Coquine in Portland host a five-course dinner paired with Oregon wines.
In an exclusive five-course menu highlighting fresh ingredients from the UK’s best producers, Katy and Ruth showcase their shared passion for elegant but simple cookery that puts flavour front and centre. Each chef will create two bespoke courses and collaborate on a dessert to punctuate the evening.
Oregon Wine Board presents a selection of hand-picked wines from some of their best-loved vineyards. With its coastal ranges, high deserts and wide valleys, Oregon is a place of rugged grace. It is said that it takes a certain character to grow an Oregon grape. And the determination that anything’s possible given enough time and effort and patience. We are thrilled that our guests have the opportunity to experience this unique character in the wine.
The Princess of Shoreditch is a modern British pub headed up by Great British Menu’s Ruth Hansom. Ruth creates menus led by provenance, championing local and hyper-seasonal whilst creating dishes that speak to her refined, unassuming style. With three AA Rosettes, The Princess of Shoreditch is the only pub in London to hold this title.
Katy Millard plates up unfussy, sophisticated cookery focusing on seasonality and farm-to-fork sourcing. At her Portland restaurant Coquine, the menu specialises in home-style dishes made with food harvested from local markets, cooked with plenty of heart. With many accolades to her name, Katy and her restaurant Coquine have been awarded chef and restaurant of the year, respectively.
